Directed by Ambassador Dr. Lord Ajmer, Children of Africa is WAOEI™'s flagship documentary — spotlighting the resilience and potential of African children against the backdrop of real community transformation in The Gambia. Cohort 1 of the WAOEI™ Sewing & Design Academy completed its first training cycle in West Coast Region, The Gambia. Twelve women trained in garment production and entrepreneurship. Three are already generating income from their craft. Cohort 2 is now in planning. The Academy runs with Netflix-donated professional equipment — giving students industry-grade tools from day one.
